Starting August 2, the Main Library and Weaver Library will be open to everyone, including the public. We're looking forward to seeing you. Check out our plans.
You can request print books from the library's collection. Expect longer turnaround times due to shorter library hours and closures. Please consider requesting a scan of a reasonable portion of a book if the whole book is not urgently needed.
We offer electronic delivery of articles & book chapters from the library's collection. This is free for UA students, faculty, staff, and designated campus colleagues (including affiliates, affiliate partners, associates, and associate partners).
Books can also be shipped for free to UA affiliates who reside more than 30 miles from the University.
Go to your account to submit and view requests.

Library books: Your lending period will be the same as for materials checked out in person. See checkout and renewal policies.
Articles and book chapters: Available online through your account for 30 days.
Requests delivered through Document Delivery can be renewed just like any other library item. Go to your library account to renew your items.
You can return all materials at the Main Library during our lobby hours. We are following best practice guidelines on quarantining materials.
If you're no longer affiliated with the university or are leaving town, return books to the book drop outside the Main Library. If you are not in Tucson, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options.
We can ship library books to faculty, students, and staff who currently reside outside of the United States. International delivery takes 2-3 weeks [due to COVID-19, expect this to take longer]. We will cover the cost of shipping when sending materials, but you will be responsible for return shipping via air service (Airmail, DHL).
