Thursday, February 14, 2019

#WeAreUAZLibraries is a bi-weekly series that introduces our staff on Facebook and Instagram. Meet Monique Lassere!

What do you do?

I am the Digital Preservation Librarian in the Office of Digital Innovation & Stewardship (ODIS). I collaborate primarily with Special Collections, Technology Strategy & Services (TeSS), and others in my department to preserve and provide access to the unique digital content we steward here at the Libraries. This can include everything from making inventories and workflow development to migrating data from removable media like hard drives and CDs, as well as tons of research!

How long have you worked for University Libraries?

One and a half years.

What’s your favorite library resource or service and why?

My favorite service is Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad). It’s easy, seamless, and fast.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I collect animal skulls.
