We are deeply saddened by the death of our respected colleague, Roberto "Cintli" Rodriguez, Associate Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mexican American Studies.

Dr. Rodriguez had an incredible impact on the department and field. He was also instrumental in developing our Historic Mexican & Mexican American Press, a collection documents and showcase of historic Mexican and Mexican American publications published in Tucson, El Paso, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sonora, Mexico from the mid-1800s to the 1970s. Dr. Rodriguez will be greatly missed.
