Responding to COVID-19

You can chat and email with us daily! Mon-Thu 7am-7pm, Fri 7am-6pm, Sat 11am-6pm, and Sun 1pm-6pm. But due to COVID-19, all University Libraries buildings are currently closed, and we're not accepting any new hold/pickup or scanning requests for physical items. See details on library changes and support.

Charge your devices

A group of library patrons charge devices at a charging station

Need to charge your device? You can plug in almost anywhere in the library.

Charging stations

Our free charging stations include cables for Apple devices (iPod, iPhone, iPad) and micro-USB for Android devices. You can find one at:

  • Main Library (1st and 2nd floors)
  • Science-Engineering Library (2nd and 5th floors)
  • Health Sciences Library (2nd floor)
  • Fine Arts Library (next to the Ask Us desk)

Charging lockers

Keep your device secure while powering up. We have charging lockers available near the entrance of the Fine Arts Library. Be sure to turn your ringer off and don't leave items in locker overnight.

Find an outlet

There are lots of open outlets all around the library available for you to plug in. Many desks have outlets attached to them for added convenience.

Borrow Apple chargers

Forgot your charger? UA students can borrow chargers for MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones. See Apple chargers.
