Collection Services is responsible for actively and efficiently managing the acquisitions, discovery, and stewardship of the Libraries’ information resources. Our portfolio includes management of our physical collections across libraries, acquiring and managing the information resources necessary to support the research and learning missions of the university, facilitating our users’ discovery of and access to those materials and collections through metadata application and administrative support of our discovery systems and tools, overseeing digitization and digital preservation functions on behalf of the library as a whole. Collection Services is also the home for staff from the Technical Reports Archive & Imagery Library (TRAIL), a national initiative to digitize federal technical reports.
