Not affiliated with the UA? Arizona residents and affiliates at some other institutions can apply for a library card.
Faculty and staff may also apply for a proxy card that allows teaching and research assistants to check out materials on their behalf.
You can renew UA library materials up to 12 times, as long as someone has not placed a hold or recall on it.
You can also renew interlibrary loan items if allowed by the lending library.
Technology and quiet study room keys can't be renewed online. Check with staff at the Ask Us desk to see if you can renew these items.
You can place a hold using express retrieval. Select "Request this item" in the catalog and specify the library where you want to pick up your item.
If you need an item that is already checked out, you can also use "Request this item" to issue a recall. The person holding the item will be asked to return it within 10 days. We'll send you an email when it is ready for pick up.
