Congratulations, Nicole!

E-Learning Developer Nicole Hennig, Student Learning & Engagement, was interviewed for a collaborative article, "The World of AI" by American Libraries Magazine – the flagship magazine of the American Library Association. It was published on March 1.

"I’ve always been interested in new technologies," Hennig said, who authored the 2017 book "Keeping Up with Emerging Technologies. "When ChatGPT was released in November 2022, I started following the news about it with great interest."

Blogging about AI

"I’m super interested in helping bring AI literacy to librarians and educators, see some of my blog posts that describe what I’ve been doing for that."

What does the future hold for AI?

"I think the field of generative AI will influence just about every field in some way," Hennig said. "It’s a big enough change that I think it’s correct to compare it to when the Internet was new, or when mobile phones were new. So that’s a huge question, and probably too soon for anyone to understand all of the implications."
