Love Data Week is observed around Valentine’s Day each year

Love Data Week is a celebration of data and a chance to raise awareness about the importance of data science and management. People use the day as an opportunity to bring together data scientists and discuss contemporary issues affecting data management, sharing, privacy, preservation, reuse, and delivery.

The dates of Love Data Week change annually, and this year it is Feb. 12-16. University Libraries is offering two free and open to the public learning sessions:

Tuesday, Feb. 13: Data & Viz Drop-in: R & Python Programming

Tuesday, Feb. 13: Copyright & Open Science

During this presentation you’ll learn the basics about copyright and what is and isn't protected. Most important, you’ll learn how to manage your copyright and other intellectual property rights while engaging in open science practices.
