Reflection room policies

Our reflection room (2101D) is dedicated for use by University of Arizona students, faculty, residents/fellows, and staff for quiet reflection.

The reflection room is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please use the open/in-use signage while occupying and departing the room.

Rules for using the room:

  • Silence electronic devices.
  • Respect others while the room is in use and limit your stay to 30 minutes if others are waiting.
  • Do not use as a study space or sleeping area.
  • Do not use for organized services or scheduled reoccurring events.
  • Do not bring food or drink, except for water.
  • Do not burn candles or incense, or bring other smoke, fume, fragrance, or flame-inducing elements.
  • Keep existing room furnishings in the room and do not move other library furnishings into the room.
  • Remove any personal items you bring to aid in reflection practice and return the space to its original setup.
  • The Library is not responsible for items left in the room.

We will use our code of conduct to enforce these policies. Anyone in violation will be asked to leave the room by Library administrators, faculty or staff, and/or university authorities. Repeated violations may result in banning individuals from the space.
