Long-term study rooms

Rooms assigned for a semester to UA research faculty (including emeritus and visiting faculty) and PhD candidates working on their dissertations. All long-term study rooms are double occupancy; you may be asked to share the space.

Long-term study rooms are at the Main Library and Albert B. Weaver Science-Engineering Library.

Comp exam rooms

Rooms assigned for a month to UA graduate students studying for comprehensive exams. If there is no waiting list, you can request an extension.

Comp exam rooms are on the 2nd floor of the Main Library.

Dissertation writers' room

A shared room at the Main Library assigned for one semester. You must have completed comprehensive exams and be working on a dissertation. Rooms include partitioned desks and lockers for storing research materials.

Once assigned, you can use your room anytime the library is open.
