Collaborative faculty room

Faculty members using technology in the Collaborative Faculty Room

Collaborate with your colleagues in this technology-rich space. The room comes with standard supplies to support your collaborative work, like table top whiteboards, a conference phone, wireless keyboard, and connections for multiple laptops.

You can also test drive the same teaching technology used in the UA's collaborative learning spaces. The room features:

  • 70" display monitors with A/V inputs
  • A matrix switcher for all listed sources
  • Doceri for iPad touchscreen control
  • Document camera and controllable webcam
  • Gigabit wired connectivity for station computer
  • Borrow more technology from the libraries

The collaborative faculty room was generously supported by a donation from the Research Corporation for Science Advancement.

How to access

Room 313 is on the 3rd floor of the Science-Engineering Library, east of the elevators. It will remain open during construction, but there will be intermittent noise between 7 am and 5 pm on weekdays. To reach the room, follow the signage through enclosed walkways. See the map of the 3rd floor

Once you have a reservation, use your CatCard to access the room. Faculty can reserve for up to 4 hours and bookings can be made up to 120 days in advance. You can hold multiple reservations each week (up to 24 hours of total reserved time).
