As Vice Dean of University Libraries, I serve on the senior leadership team and am responsible for leading strategic initiatives related to Access and Information Services, Office of Digital Innovation & Stewardship, Special Collections, and Technology Strategy & Services. I serve as the lead administrator in the absence of the Dean, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the library system, working closely with other library administrators and department heads. I am excited to join the University Libraries and to work with our faculty and staff as we launch many exciting new initiatives through the strategic planning process and as we reimagine the Libraries through the Student Success District. Before arriving here in 2018, I served as the Associate Dean for Digital Strategies and Faculty Affairs at the University of Miami Libraries, and in various scholarly communications oriented roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am the Vice-Chair of the Open Repositories Steering Committee, and serve on the HathiTrust Program Steering Committee and the Advisory Board for the ARL Fellowship for Digital and Inclusive Excellence. I have regularly spoken and published on scholarly communication issues, data management services in libraries, and institutional repositories. My past research was on the social and technical barriers to metadata interoperability.
