Pet Partners of Southern Arizona visited students at the Main Library on December 12.

During finals week, Pet Partners of Southern Arizona brought therapy animals to the Main Library for a few hours to help students de-stress. More than 100 people showed up.

Whether they were studying for exams or writing papers, students lined up to spend a few minutes relaxing and visiting with therapy dogs…and a rabbit!

For some, it was a sweet reminder of the pets they left behind when they came to the University of Arizona. Many students liked talking to the therapy animal owners about their pets.

The Libraries began collaborating with Pet Partners to support students during finals in 2012. The organization’s mission is to “improve human health and well-being through the human-animal bond,” and we were glad to welcome them back.

Thank you to our fuzzy friends and human friends at Pet Partners of Southern Arizona for bringing smiles to students when they need it the most. Mission accomplished.
