Associate Dean Jerry Perry has been selected as an Academic Champion by the Office of the Provost. This program invites colleges and units to nominate a faculty member who has received a significant award or recognition. University Libraries Dean Shan Sutton nominated Jerry based on being a Medical Library Association Fellow. Jerry oversees the Health Sciences Library, as well as assessment and diversity and inclusion efforts across the entire Libraries system. He has over 30 years of experience as a health sciences librarian and is delivering the Janet Doe Lecture at the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting on May 6, 2019.
Jerry was recognized as an Academic Champion on court with UA President Robert C. Robbins during a time-out at the January 5 basketball game against Utah. Congratulations Jerry!
