Find maps

Woman looking at map

Our physical map collection is located on the 1st floor of the Main Library. You can also access online maps from our catalog.

You can also:

Advanced map search

You can also use advanced library search to find maps.

  1. Go to the advanced library search
  2. Under "Material Type," select "Maps"
  3. Type your keywords in the search box
  4. Select the search icon

Include keywords for both the geographic region and the type of map (e.g. topographic map, geologic map, road map) you need.

Example keywords:

  • Arizona physical maps
  • New Mexico topographic maps
  • Pima County remote sensing maps
  • Mexico vegetation maps

Finding maps at a particular scale

Map scales are usually given in the catalog as a representative fraction, such as 1:100,000 (see map scale). A map series for a larger area may include the area you are interested in; so be sure to check for maps of larger areas such as countries or continents.
