Family study room policies

The family study room is for use by University of Arizona parents/guardians, postdocs, staff, and faculty accompanied by children. 

  • An active UA CatCard is required to access the room.
  • First-come, first-serve. It cannot be reserved in advance.
  • A four-hour limit is suggested. Please be courteous to others wanting to use the room.
  • Use of the room is to be shared. Occupancy is limited to 4 adults and 6 children under the age of 15 at one time.
  • This room is not a child-care service. Children must be accompanied and supervised by parents/guardians at all times, including monitoring children’s safety and behavior.
  • Library staff are not responsible for children. If children are left unaccompanied, UA Police will be contacted.
  • Non-messy snacks and drinks with lids are acceptable. See the library food and drink policy.
  • Please respect all items in the room as well as other occupants. The room should be left clean and orderly after use, and all items should remain in the room.
  • The room is not soundproof, and the space permits reasonable noise.
  • Users must comply with the library code of conduct.
  • Failure to follow room use policies may result in loss of room privileges.
