Remote Sensing Concepts and Applications

With Ben Hickson, University Libraries

You’ve probably seen satellite imagery and may have worked with it, but what is remote sensing? Is it the same, or how is it different? How can you use remotely sensed data to learn more about landscapes and people? What’s beyond the blue, green, and red? We’ll address these questions and more in a review of the technology and applications of remote sensing. This talk will be a review and demonstration, but attendees can follow along with their own laptops (ArcGIS required).
