Intro to Web and Mobile App Development

What Researchers Need to Know

Led by David Parizek, Arizona Research Laboratories

We will look at the past, present and future of web and mobile development to give researchers contemplating app development an understanding of the salient tradeoffs of different options. Topics will include why JavaScript was the ugly duckling that became a swan, responsive design, hybrid mobile vs native, progressive web apps, major JS frameworks, the Gartner hype cycle, and how to predict and evaluate the next big thing.
