Data Curation for Postdocs

Which data skills are the most important for postdocs to have? What are the nuts and bolts of managing data on a daily basis? How do good data practices lead to more efficient and impactful research?

This second part of the two-part workshop series will focus on the later stages of the research data lifecycle, including disciplinary practices around data in your field. Topics include:

  • What data curation is and the FAIR principles
  • Characteristics of well-curated datasets
  • Archiving, sharing and publishing data and code using open formats for transparency and reproducibility
  • Sensitive data issues
  • Hands-on Introduction to funder and publisher data sharing policies

Faculty, graduate students, and other researchers are also welcome.
