Conditions for using subscription databases

Most of our electronic resources (including online journals, books, software, and databases) are made available through license agreements. They are provided primarily for the research needs of the University of Arizona community. Remote (off campus) access is limited to authorized library users, which includes current students, faculty and staff, plus Affiliate or Associate Designated Campus Colleagues (DCC). Individuals without appropriate DCC status, as well as members of the community at large, may access licensed resources for their individual research or educational purposes in libraries on the University’s Main or Health Sciences campuses.

These resources are protected by copyright and other laws. This means that unauthorized reproduction, publishing or republishing, transfer, alteration and/or use of the resources is prohibited. Systematic or programmatic copying or downloading is not allowed. Misuse may result in user accounts, IP numbers or entire networks being denied access.

The UA Libraries can make no warranty related to our electronic resources. We are not responsible for their content, format, accuracy or availability and will have no liability relating to their use.

Vendors of specific databases may specify additional conditions on their use so be sure you read and understand them.
