What do you do?

I work for Access and Information Services, and my office is located in Special Collections. I manage student employees, work on collection maintenance, work with the III system, take care of billing, help manage the reading room in Special Collections, work in stack area configurations, book maintenance, fix cataloging issues, assist patrons & archivists, and help answer the Reference Ask Us Account for Special Collections.

How long have you worked for UAL?

20 years

What’s your favorite library resource or service and why?

Interlibrary loan. Through ILL, one can have access to almost anything, including hidden treasures.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I was born and raised in Mexico, and English is my second language. I am of Lebanese, Yaqui Indian, French, and German descent. Also, my work promotes and highly encourages my love for learning.
