Real-world data stories from the field

How does data facilitate telling a story? What challenges are there when using data for research? What are the dangers of data misuse and abuse? What are some good practices for success? What is the role of data in the daily work of professionals?

If you’re curious about how others on campus use data in their work – be it research, education, or business – we invite you to come to ILC112 on Friday, February 16 at 2pm to learn about data issues from those who have encountered them firsthand. Through a series of short presentations, listen to the experiences and viewpoints of faculty, staff, and students as they share their own personal data stories.

This event is held as part of Love Data Week, an international social media campaign which aims to raise awareness and build a community to engage on topics related to research data management. Follow #lovedata18 on Twitter for more data stories.
