Naomi and Samuel Greenfield Scholarship

About the scholarship

The Naomi and Samuel Greenfield Endowed Scholarship was established through the generosity of long-time librarian Louise Greenfield and her husband, Simon Rosenblatt, to honor the exceptional kindness her parents demonstrated throughout their lives.

Each year, this $1000 scholarship is awarded to one undergraduate student employee at the University Libraries, based upon how they exhibit kindness in the workplace. The award can be used to help pay for books and supplies related to their studies at the University of Arizona.

How to apply

Write a letter (no more than 500 words) describing your experience working in the library. Be sure to answer the following three questions:

  • How have you demonstrated kindness and consideration to your fellow workers or library users?
  • How have you enhanced your understanding of workplace cooperation?
  • How has the work contributed to the development of your personal work ethic?

Address your letter to the Greenfield Scholarship Selection Committee and email it to Danielle Raines. Please include your complete contact information as well as your supervisor’s name. You will receive a confirmation that we received your submission.

Call us at (520) 621-7833 with any questions.
